On November 13 – 17, 2018 the representatives of Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine, and several regions of Ukraine were being trained in smart-specialization within the project “Improvement of the Competitiveness of Ukrainian Regions and Development of Polish-Ukrainian Economic Cooperation”. During the 5-day study course, the Ukrainian delegation (including representatives from Cherkasy region) learned the key points of smart-specialization, which is quite a new thing for Ukraine. Study took place in different cities, including Warsaw (Ministry of Investment and Economic Development was visited), Gdansk (visit to the “STARTER” incubator (Gdansk – Oliwa), Wroclaw (visit to Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, which is one of the best and the greatest technological universities in Poland, and to Wroclaw Technological Park). ontext of the tools for investigation, development and innovation support. In addition, there were reports of the speakers who shared innovative experience of the voivodeships. The participants will use gained experience and knowledge while working out regional development strategies – 2027.
